The Bhutan Kho Kho Club

Bhutan Kho Kho, founded in January 2019, became affiliated with the Bhutan Olympic Committee in 2023. Its vision is to promote Kho Kho as a sport that enhances community engagement, physical and mental well-being, and social skills, aligning with Bhutan's Gross National Happiness principles. The association aims to position Bhutan as a regional and global leader in Kho Kho, fostering teamwork and discipline among its youth.

The mission focuses on introducing and promoting Kho Kho across Bhutan by reaching out to schools, colleges, and communities, providing accessible infrastructure, and developing coaching programs. Plans include building standardized Kho Kho courts, providing equipment, and organizing youth leagues. Additionally, the association seeks to develop a strong coaching network through collaborations with Indian experts and certification programs for coaches and referees.

To further boost participation, Bhutan Kho Kho plans to organize school and college tournaments, host national championships, and participate in international competitions. They aim to raise awareness through social media campaigns and partnerships with influencers, while seeking government and corporate sponsorship to support their initiatives and increase international exposure.
